    Im vergangenen Jahr gab es wenig bis keine Zeit, das Handwerkssystem noch einmal zu überarbeiten. Da das Handwerk jedoch eines der wichtigsten Features von Crowfall ist (immerhin hängt die komplette Wirtschaft irgendwie davon ab), war auch ArtCraft Entertainment immer klar, dass es irgendwann umstrukturiert werden musste. Mit den folgenden Änderungen werden dem Gameplay ein paar wichtige Aspekte hinzugefügt. Außerdem kommt hier auch die Vision von ACE bezüglich Handwerk noch einmal zum Vorschein, da alle Systeme noch einmal überarbeitet wurden, um ihnen mehr Tiefe zu verleihen und sie für den Launch aufzupolieren. Werkstätten Was ist eine Werkstatt? Im einfachsten Sinne handelt es sich dabei um Orte, an denen bestimmte Handwerksanleitungen freigeschaltet und ausgeführt werden können. Je nach Handwerk sind diese thematisch gestaltet, also beispielsweise als Schmiede oder Alchemielabor. Zur Regelung des Zugangs zu diesen Orten hatten ACE vor einiger Zeit einen Prototypen entwickelt. Die Idee dahinter war, dass sich die Spieler an einem bestimmten Ort befinden mussten, um ihr Handwerk auszuüben. Bei Anleitungen der Kochkunst des Überlebenskünstlers, für die man in der Nähe eines Lagerfeuers stehen musste, konntest Du das vielleicht schon direkt beobachten. Befand man sich nicht in der Nähe eines Lagerfeuers, erlaubte einem die Handwerksanleitung einfach nicht, etwas herzustellen. Der Prototyp erfüllte seine Aufgabe, d. h. man musste an einer bestimmten Stelle stehen, verlieh einem jedoch keine neue Anleitungen. Kürzlich haben sich die Entwickler diesen Prototypen nun noch einmal vorgenommen und ihn um ein paar Features erweitert. Diese Features drehen sich hauptsächlich um Folgendes: Nachrüsten des Prototypen auf das aktuell geltende Interaktionsmodell „F für Interaktion“, Einschränkung der Anleitungsarten, die in einer bestimmten Werkstatt ausgeführt werden können, und Freischalten oder Anzeigen von Handwerksanleitungen auf Grundlage der Fertigkeiten, die ein Spieler ausgebildet hat. Außerdem gibt es nun verschiedene Versionen der gleichen Werkstatt, sodass man eine bestimmte Art der Werkstatt benötigt, um die verschiedenen Stufen der Anleitungen auszuführen (z. B. „Hier können nur mittlere Anleitungen hergestellt werden“ oder „Hier können mittlere und fortgeschrittene Anleitungen hergestellt werden“). Anleitungsarten Einen Moment mal, Freischaltung mittlerer Anleitungen? Was für ein Zaubertrick ist das denn nun wieder!? Jetzt, da mehrere Anleitungsarten eingeführt wurden, kann ArtCraft Entertainment diese je nach Spielerfortschritt in den Fertigkeitenbäumen zugänglich machen. Diese Zuordnung benutzt man derzeit auch, um zu bestimmen, wo die Spieler die jeweilige Anleitung ausführen kann. Zum Beispiel: Zu Beginn erhalten die Spieler Zugang zu allen einfachen Handwerksanleitungen. Diese können überall „in freier Wildbahn“ durch Öffnen der Handwerks-UI (J-Taste) verwendet werden. Mit den einfachen Anleitungen können alle anfänglichen Werkzeuge, Waffen und Rüstungen hergestellt werden. Für diesen Anleitungen werden normalerweise sehr einfache Materialien wie Schlacke und Knüppelholz benötigt. Mittlere Anleitungen sind eine neue Anleitungsart. Diese werden zwar allen Spielern (aller Fertigkeitenstufen) angezeigt, können jedoch nur benutzt werden, wenn eine richtige Werkstatt benutzt wird. Für die mittleren Anleitungen werden bestimmte Ressourcen wie Kupfer und Eisen benötigt. Außerdem ermöglichen sie bestimmte Arten des Experimentierens. Allerdings verleihen diese Anleitungen den hergestellten Waren nicht das komplette Spektrum an Attributen. Zweck dieser mittleren Anleitungen ist es, den Spielern bis zu einem gewissen Grad Upgrades zu ermöglichen, die sie selber durchführen können (ohne die Notwendigkeit eines ausgiebigen Trainings), und ihnen zu zeigen, wie die Werkstätten funktionieren. Fortgeschrittene Anleitungen stehen nur Spielern zur Verfügung, die einen bestimmten Fortschritt in den Fertigkeitenbäumen vorweisen können. Bei den fortgeschrittenen Waffenanleitungen müssen die Spieler zunächst den ersten Fertigkeitenbereich im Fertigkeitenbaum der Schmiedekunst-Grundlagen trainieren, bevor sie bei der Verwendung einer Werkstatt Zugang zu den fortgeschrittenen Anleitungen erhalten. Nicht alle Anleitungen werden über mittlere und fortgeschrittene Versionen verfügen. So werden ein paar Handwerksarten (Nekromantie, Juwelenschleifen und Alchemie) über Anleitungen verfügen, die nur als fortgeschrittene Anleitungen ausgeführt werden können. Wichtige Standorte Teil dieses Updates ist das Platzieren dieser neuen Werkstätten an bestimmten strategischen Standorten auf der Karte. So werden alle Brückenköpfe über eine bestimmte und beschränkte Anzahl und Auswahl von Werkstätten verfügen. Allerdings werden dort nur mittlere Waffen- und Rüstungsanleitungen verfügbar sein. Für die fortgeschrittenen Anleitungen müssen sich die Handwerker zu den Forts und Kastellen begeben, die sich im Besitz ihres Teams oder ihrer Fraktion befinden. Wie Du Dir vorstellen kannst, gibt diese Neuerung am Gameplay den Teams einen ziemlich guten Grund, Forts und Kastelle zu erobern und zu verteidigen (das bedeutet wiederum, dass ACE sich auch den Eroberungs- und Belagerungsmechaniken noch einmal zuwenden muss). Doch das ist noch nicht alles! Dies ist nur der erste Schritt der Komplettüberholung des Handwerksystems! Ähnlich wie bei der Überarbeitung der Fertigkeiten und des Zauberbuchs kannst Du auch hier noch jede Menge Änderungen erwarten. Hier schon einmal ein kleiner Vorgeschmack der neuen Handwerks-UI, um Dir zu zeigen, wo man in etwa hinmöchte. Außerdem hat ACE noch andere handwerksbezogene Systeme in der Pipeline, wie beispielsweise Händler und Gold im Besitz von Spielern ... alles Features, die im weitesten Sinne unter dem Begriff der „spielergesteuerten Wirtschaft“ zusammengefasst werden können. Danach wird man sich dann Dingen wie Fabriken und Karawanen zuwenden, die das System so richtig zur Geltung bringen werden. Ach, und die Fehlerschleife beim Experimentieren und Herstellen wird natürlich auch behoben. Ewige Königreiche Die entsprechenden Urkunden für alle Werkstätten wurden hinzugefügt, die nun an bestimmten Stellen in Pavillons, Hütten, Villen und Herrenhäusern platziert werden können. Die Anleitungen für diese Gebäude sind nun erhältlich. Sobald Du die erforderlichen Ressourcen zusammenhast, kannst Du nun also in der Geborgenheit Deiner Ewigen Königreiche mit der Herstellung beginnen. TL;DR Mit der Einführung von Werkstätten im Spiel eröffnen sich sowohl für Handwerker als auch für Kämpfer ganz neue Möglichkeiten im Gameplay. Mit den Werkstätten gewinnen Forts und Kastelle an Bedeutung. ArtCraft Entertainment ist (noch lange) nicht fertig mit der Überarbeitung des Handwerksystems.   7. Backer Rewards verschwunden

    Schön, dass es sich aufgeklärt hat. Im Gegensatz zum Live-Server, der permanent für den Early Acces freigegeben ist (heißt im Moment Beta-2 Zugriffslevel - Beta-3 soll zum Jahreswechsel folgen), wird der Zugriff auf die Test-Server bei jedem größeren Update neu aufgerollt. Es fängt also immer wieder von vorne an; zuerst kommen die Pre-Alphas 1 und 2 rein, dann die Alphas 1-3 und dann die Betas. Die ersten 3.000 Beta-1 Spieler wurden bereits letztes Wochende auf den 5.3 Test-Server eingeladen. Der rest von B1 und die B2 Spieler sollten also ebenfalls bald Zugriff bekomme, bevor (wahrscheinlich) 5.3 auf den Live-Server aufgespielt wird und die B3 Gruppe dort Zugriff erhält.

Zum Jahresende lenkt ArtCraft Entertainment die Aufmerksamkeit schon einmal auf nächstes Jahr – und auf die nächste Phase des Unternehmens. 2018 stehen eine Reihe von Veränderungen bevor – die Entwicklung von Crowfall® bewegt sich in Riesenschritten auf die Beta zu (und natürlich den anschließenden Launch), eine massive Anstrengung zur Vorbereitung des Live-Betriebs, ein verstärkter Fokus auf Marketing und PR – und, natürlich, eine Überprüfung des Angebots (mit anderen Worten, was man im Shop anbietet, sobald das Spiel live geht). Die letzten zwei Jahre haben die Entwickler das Spiel mithilfe des Crowdfundings (und Investitionen des Unternehmens) finanziert. Jetzt, da der Launch immer näherrückt, möchte man das Projekt langsam vom Verkauf von Pledge-Paketen auf den Verkauf von Vorbestellungen für das Spiel umstellen. Am 31. Dezember werden daher alle Pledge-Pakete von 2017 sowie die Mehrheit der angebotenen Parzellen- und Festungspakete aus dem Shop entfernt. Im Grunde genommen wird alles mit einem Preis von über 200 USD aus dem Katalog virtueller Gegenstände entfernt. (Weitere Einzelheiten findet ihr in den FAQ unten.) Ende Januar wird man dann die Preise für so gut wie alle Gegenstände in unserem Shop auf eine Mikrotransaktionswährung (sogenannte Kronen) umstellen, die in etwa so wie alle anderen Währungen in Online-Spielen funktioniert. Dabei werden die Preise aller virtuellen Gegenstände in Kronen ausgezeichnet, wohingegen digitale und physische Kopien des Spiels, VIP-Tickets und eine paar andere Dienstleistungen weiterhin über Preise in realer Währung verfügen werden. Alle bestehenden Guthaben werden bei der Umstellung in Kronen umgewandelt, zum höchsten von ArtCraft angebotenen Wechselkurs. Das Jahr mag vielleicht langsam und beschaulich ausklingen, das Crowfall-Team arbeitet jedoch auf Hochtouren, um 5.3 so schnell wie möglich live gehen zu lassen. Ein paar große Updates dürfte man bei ACE für Dezember auch noch in petto haben … also bleib dran! Fragen? Hier eine kurze FAQ mit ein paar Fragen, die Du Dir vielleicht stellen könntet. Was ist der Unterschied zwischen einem Pledge-Paket und einem Vorbestellungspaket? Was genau ändert sich am Shop? Kurz gesagt bedeutet diese Änderung, dass man: alle „kostspieligen“ Pakete (und Gegenstände) aus dem Shop entfernt und viele der verbleibenden „kostengünstigen“ Pakete in kleinere Einzelteile zerlegt. Diese Parzellen, Festungen und Gegenstände sind natürlich weiterhin im Spiel erhältlich. Du musst sie Dir nun einfach durchs Spielen verdienen. Kann ich das Spiel immer noch im Vorhinein erwerben und Zugang zum Spieltest erhalten? Ja. Sobald ArtCraft Entertainment Inc. die Pledge-Pakete entfernt, werden stattdessen drei verschiedene Vorbestellungspakete angeboten. Die genauen Preise werden zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt bekannt geben, Du kannst aber davon ausgehen, dass sie etwa 50 bis 200 USD kosten werden. Auch die Sammleredition wird es weiterhin für 179 USD geben. Dieser Preis wird nächstes Jahr jedoch steigen. Vor dem Launch wird sie zudem wahrscheinlich ganz entfernt werden. Mit dem Kauf aller oben genannten Gegenstände erhältst Du umgehend Zugang zur LIVE-Spieltestumgebung. (Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird LIVE alle Spieler der Testgruppen Pre-Alpha 1 bis Beta 3 umfassen). Welche Gegenstände werden aus dem Shop entfernt? Ab dem 31. Dezember werden folgende Gegenstände aus dem Shop ENTFERNT: ALLE Pakete mit Gildenfestungen Alle Parzellen mit einem Preis von über 200 USD Alle Gebäude mit einem Preis von über 200 USD Alle Bausets (Festungsmauern und -türme) mit einem Preis von über 200 USD Wird es neue Gegenstände im Shop geben? Ja. ACE wird dem Shop ein paar neue Gegenstände und Sets hinzufügen – diese Pakete werden jedoch sehr viel kleiner und kostengünstiger sein. Außerdem werden diese Neuzugänge, wie bisher, auf kosmetische und Baugegenstände beschränkt sein, die ausschließlich in den Ewigen Königreichen verwendet werden können (also in Welten, die sich im Besitz von Spielern und Gilden befinden). In die Kampagnenwelten können sie nicht importiert werden. Bedeutet das, dass ich keine Burgen, Bergzitadellen oder Imperialen Paläste erwerben kann? Diese Festungen werden weiterhin im Spiel erhältlich sein (und können dort anhand von Ressourcen gebaut werden), im Shop können sie aber nicht mehr erworben werden. Werde ich meine bisherigen Belohnungen trotzdem erhalten? Selbstverständlich. Die vor dieser Umstellung erworbenen Pledge-Pakete sind nicht davon betroffen. Weitere Fragen?
